"the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world?"
Gender issues are very important!
Issues on this page will also highlight shameful acts against
others, who are not women, who are less fortunate in society
because women are usually included in that group, also.
It will be very difficult but I will resist the urge to play the role
of the "angry feminist" even though I am definitely not at war
with males. However, you must also remember that issues
which affect women will affects others in society also. Those
issues even anger males at times!

I grew up in a place where some people got married at 14. They were consensual adults and,
as far as I know, no one was forced. So it is hard to wrap my mind around this subject when
both people consent at ANY age!
The thought today is about numbers, the laws, and the lawful age of consent to engage in
sexual activity and how that consent can be "induced" to be given
I have done some research but it is forgotten. I would try to get more but if I try now my
computer will lock up.
The numbers:
Legally, what is the difference between a 17 year female (or male) who says no at 17 but says
yes (to the same person) at 18? Is looking and lusting a crime?
What is the legal difference (criminally) between a female (or male) at 15, 16, or 17 refusing to
engage sexual activity with an adult who could be charged with a crime of molestation and still
refusing at 18? What is the charge at 18? Just harassment? What is the charge at 15? At 13?
At 5? When is it a misdemeanor? When is it a felony? When do the relatives get the shotgun?
(Really, not a joke, though. Don't EVER blame the victim no matter how promiscuous they
have been but SOME kids DO engage in SO much sexual activity!)
What charge will occur when the "victim" is under age? What is the burden of proof for that
criminal activity?
What is the charge if the crime occurs when the victim becomes "of age"? What is the burden
of proof?
What if the victim says no at 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20? When does the legal jurisdiction
change?
What is the crime if the "no" is accepted when the child is 15, 16, or 17 but EVERY sort of
harassment is used to induce a "yes" at 18 when it will "not be a crime"? "They are 18 now....."
What are some of the legal grooming techniques to ensure a "favorable" response? Grooming
is term used to indicate an individual is subjected to, sometimes, extreme psychological and/or
economical pressure in order to ensure a favorable response to a request for sexual activity.
They don't know that the pressure they are encountering is a prelude to sexual activity.
It probably is not the correct term for those who are already engaging in some kind of
consensual relationships. Pressure maybe used but it is commonly referred to as a proposal
of some sort for a continued arrangement. Maaaayyyyyybeeee. I wrote that nicely because I
can also write a lot of negative comments about how the institution of marriage treats females.
I won't. Strange how some of the above can get married but they can't have sexual
relationships without marriage.
Okay. (rolling my eyes) Let's make it a bit MORE objective. I don't want to be accused of
being one sided:
What is a female says "yes" at 17 but tells everyone she said "no". And continues to do so at
"18"? Why? Who knows why? Why does the sun rises and sets? Gosh. SOME people DO say
"yes", ya know!
Gosh. Can't the partner say "NO!" to such "abuse", too? Would say "NO!" be a crime?
What if a female or male lies about their age and someone gets in trouble even though they
were given "lying proof" ?
And on, on and on and on and on.
LOTS OF NUMBERS, huh?
Some pastors would say "SAVE YOURSELF FOR MARRIAGE IN FRONT OF WITNESSES as
instructed by the Bible and you won't have to worry about any of that like "being married to
someone because you TOOK them in the field. Translation: rape!"
It gets complicated when religion is interjected, doesn't it? I don't like talking about
relationships either. Have you noticed that there are NO tabs for it? The legal definitions are
interesting here but my primarily focus here is the number and the difference in how the
justice system is used.
I may get into this subject......sex crimes....another day.
