Further discussion on  (and at ) the "Next Topic?" page

One questions non-believers frequently ask of believers of the Three Pillars of Faith of
Judaism, Christianity and Islam -
is
why do you have such a bloody religion? I will focus attention on that question now.

First a few points to keep in mind:
- I will focus mainly on the Christian perspective
- I am not a theologian
- I don't have to be a theologian
- This is a very complex subject; I can only cover a few points. See your local house      of
worship for more details.

Again, the questions:

1.
Why such a bloody religion?
2. Why would you want to worship a God who would kill children?
3. Why would you want to worship a God who would kill his only son for you and your     sins?
4. What is holy about those practices?

Frankly, even as a believer who is strong in my faith, I believe those are some valid questions.

Hopefully, even though these questions are fraught with controversy, can be answered
satisfactory in this forum remembering that I am not trying to replace (or even complement)
any traditional Easter message in this season.

Bloody sacrifices! I had no idea how difficult it would be to discuss such a subject. Yes, I have
some very organized, if not complex thoughts about the subject as it relates to the dominant
religions in society. However, my "organized thoughts" may not be a reflection of what is really
going on in society and in the minds of others.

Does it matter what is really going on in the thoughts of others? Maybe so if  it can
reasonably be concluded that their thoughts has a profound affect
on their actions and an
undue effect on others. Of course, we can't always be responsible for the behaviour of
others, though. Some people are troubled by any and every thing. They would be suffering
from paranoia. Others are troubled by nothing and think their behaviour has no effect on
anyone one; their actions would be called reckless. However, there are others who just don't
have a clue about  what is going on and think the entire world is contained in a simple little
box. They would be unaware of the extent of the suffering of others and may appear a bit
insensitive. Insensitive individuals may call
reasonable fear of others based on their personal
unique experience paranoia. Additionally, they may not recognize that their inability to
recognize the reasonable fear of others (based on their personal experiences) and may
engage in what those fearful individuals would call reckless behaviour. That is why certain
people should not travel in certain circles without being educated about the "concerns".
Those two types of people just don't mix very well; one fearful and one fearless. And any  real
education of one of the other may be also called harassment. (smile)

I wrote all that to note that the issue of bloody sacrifices is a very loaded issue.

I had intended to relate the subject of bloody sacrifices as it relates to the three pillars of faith
but, I am starting to see that many times others may see it only as it relates to Judaism. I don't
have much experience since I am not Jewish but I am learning that just the mention of some
words has the possibility of contributing  to some antisemitism. Many times in the past,  I have
"pooh-poohed" the notion of wide spread antisemitism. "Oh, it can't be as bad as all that!" I
have learned better. I had planned to save this subject for later because  antisemitism is like
nothing I have ever realized. I had no clue it could be so bad! NOT a clue.

When I mention "antisemitism", I mean hating another person J
UST because they are a Jew.
Not hating a person who HAPPENS to be a Jew because sometimes people DO have some
personal difficulties. Not that the subject of hate of any person should not be addressed but
that is not the topic here. I want to make the definition very clear (as I see it) because
sometimes I think that some antisemitism borders on just being downright demonic.
I know
some folk don't believe in demons....real unrelenting evil......but witness some real
antisemitism and I think you will change your mind! Another topic, another day.

You must realize that when I make that statement about antisemitism that I am not saying I
agree with any and all policies regarding ANYTHING that appears to be Jewish either. I wasn't
raised on a reservation or anything but somehow my distant Native American background has
influenced my ideas about a lot of issues that some would  call "Jewish". So, I don't think I am
necessarily a Zionist and other things that MAY go along with such ideas. Furthermore, I will
defend the rights of others as much I would defend the rights of Jews. So don't get confused.
I just had no idea that antisemitism was so bad!

Once I had to conduct some research in a class. The topic I chose was blood and how women
have been mistreated JUST because they bleed EVERY MONTH! My search kept bringing up
extremely weird topics (to me!) regarding some extreme rumors about blood sacrifices over
the last hundreds of years and I think it was referring to Jews. My thoughts were "Crazy!" and
I just ignored it all. I had never heard of such things! I wish I had read it all now because  I can
see that many others have heard of such ideas and understanding what certain acts mean. I
just wasn't raise that way. We didn't learn much about racism.

But there were lots of information about blood sacrifices as it pertain to "modern" folk. I didn't
read any of it. But why was it there? Whether  true or not, if those thoughts are even the least
bit common, it affects mindsets and relationships. Having an angry discussion is not going to
solve the problems. Forbidding others to discuss those ideas is not going to solve problems,
either.  Those feelings just go underground and get worse. Drawing out those ideas so you
can punish individuals is not going to solve problems either. IF those mindsets are causing
problems in relationships with others, those individuals should be educated. I believe there is
a
demonic influence but for the most part I think the wrong mindset in MOST individuals can
be corrected.

I
wrote all that just to let you know that the subject of blood seems to be a very difficult subject
to discuss because it always seem to lead back to something of the Jewish context.
I guess I
could try to write about it from the Jewish perspective but I don't have the experience or the
education. Many Jews do but I can tell you that many of them just get angry and don't tell
anyone ANY thing. It is just like they want folk to make mistake and say the wrong thing so
they can get even. Sorry but that is the way I feel. They need to realize that there other
people in this world who don't have a CLUE what is going on. So those same people have to
go out and investigate (without being intrusive) because they wonder, like me,
"WHAT IN
THE WORLD IS GOING ON!?"

What is the most ridiculous thing I have discovered? That some may believe that the closest
thing to a sacrificial temple in America (if you exclude Memphis) is a building in DC where a
"Gory" bloody bull was sacrificed there to please the gods!
(Revision: MAYBE I should
change the word "where" to the word "BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE". I write that out of the
utmost respect for some of our institutional beliefs.)

Crazy? Ridiculous? Should it be ignored? Absolutely! No blood was drawn there! But it gets
really serious when the entire story looks like some kind of set-up just to cause divisiveness,
though.

I have learned a lot. Too much and I have kept mostly silent about it. I want my research to be
objective.  My "education" and my affinity for right treatment of certain groups  has cost me a
lot, too.
But let me tell you this: it was worth EVERY LAST PENNY and more! And there is
more to learn! That is one of the "other factors" I was writing about. My life has taken a
EXTREME turn since I have taken certain actions in my life: research of "curious" incidents".
Nothing personal; I am NOT doing this because I am trying to win friend and influence people.
I don't mean to be mean: but please don't get up in my face. I am not trying to kiss up to
anyone! This started just as PURE research and then I realize that there was a DESPERATE
need for me to get certain answers!
Don't EVER make the mistake that this research is
about a quest to gain more PERSONAL relationships.
Some person can stir up something
and cause every single last Jew in the ENTIRE world to absolutely HATE me and my search
for information will NOT STOP! I just may not document it. If anything,
personal relationships
with Jews
may compromise my research and objectivity. I can't have that. My research is
more important than any personal relationship. Sorry. People die because of antisemitism.

Hopefully, I will get back on this subject after my yearly observation of Ramadan, just in time
for Hanukkah and just before Lent. (I am multi-cultural!). We shall see. Maybe I will be give
you some info on how you can conduct your own research and
learn how Jews are treated
affects ALL OF US!

So there: I haven't forgotten this subject.  I was kinda reminded after nursing a heel that I hurt
the other day that, even after about 10 bandages, it was still bleeding after one hour!
I am okay now.  I just hope writing any of this here has not compromised my efforts to gain
information. I pray that it has not.

Trust me: I am NOT walking around trying to be a fake in my efforts to gather information. I
open to gather information from REAL people with REAL ideas, whether justified or not. I am
not going to LIKE anyone who compromises my efforts to gather more data. Antisemitism
affects ALL OF US!! Repeat: ALL OF US!! It is NOT just about the Jews!

However, I am starting to believe that i
f some of the sources of antisemitism are demonic in
origin, my ability to gather research will not be hampered. I will just get MORE information.

Say prayer for me and wish me luck, folks! I need it!
Another note I think is necessary:
Do I want to get ALL my information from Jews, though.
The answer is: ABSOLUTELY NOT! Anyone who doesn't understand that has a problem with
gathering objective information. You need (confidential) information from all perspectives. I
just hope I can get it. It may be unlikely now.
God bless you ALL! I love you! Wish me God speed!
Just be aware my family is not really receptive to my being involved in anything that is
REALLY controversial and "none of my business", though.
Last note (8:xxam) People see me talking to Jews and assume I hate Muslims. NOT true.  I
have literally
put my life on the line in defense of Muslims' rights here in America.

Conversely, the same type of people see me talking to Muslims and assume I hate Jews. I
want you to know that I don't just
dislike people who make such assumptions about me. I
absolutely LOATHE THEM!
Not dislike. Not hate. But LOATHE!! The Muslims I would be
talking to know otherwise, too. That I do not hate Jews.

Those who make such assumptions NOTHING about me! And there is nothing further from
the truth. Yes, I have had some words with some Jews (and OTHERS) and trust me: for good
reason, too. But I have never ever hated Jews nor Muslims. Why would others think such
things when I have never given THEM an indication of such emotions? There is NO need to
hurt ANY Jew for MY sake like some Knight on some White horse coming to my rescue.
Again: I LOATHE them!   I appreciate those who love me and help me objectively fight any
injustices which can come my way,
regardless of race or ethnicity of the offender,  but don't
make it
just against Muslims, Jews or etc, because of your own personal prejudices.  Just stay
the _________away from ME!
Loathe is not  too strong of a word to explain my emotions!
You will definitely hurt the people I care about.

I think my research is over though and it is time to move on to my next project. I am sadden.

See arrow below and know
this is one of the reason I
do not want to talk about
blood. I know I promised
but I just don't like
discussing what can
become "paranormal". It
gets "crazy". It starts
with religion and then can
end up with insinuations
about anything from JUST
Jews to demon worship to
vampires. Say the wrong
thing and people can burn
at stakes. Honestly.

I still probably have to go
back through all the pages
to see if I added solutions
as I promised. LOTS of
work to do. I don't need to
add more.

I am sorry but I may have to
add those factors to the
discussion but I
hesitate to
join such a debate.  I am
not fearful but if  there will
be a  balanced discussion,
as I promised from the
beginning
, it MUST include
perspectives from all
sources. When it comes to
the subject of blood, that
could include a lot of
perspectives. I may not be
up to the task. Of course, I
could surprise myself.

God knows and
those who
know me
, know I am not
accusing anyone of
anything. But to cut down
on confusion (
and even
more frantic research which
could bring up even more
wild allegations about
blood)
, I will provide a hint
on this note:

Bush-Gore 2000.

I refuse to write about
politics here. I just refuse! I
am not afraid!  I am just
NOT interested!

If we wanted to get
technical, we could make
anything gory! Example:
org. COULD = gor-y, too.

So........

Please note the dates of
these notes and
understand why there are
no updates here
if none
occurs.
